ABOUT PROJECT 2025

A free roaming first person POV game (NB., not 3d), which intends trading, exploration, strategy and, since being an Atari 2600 title—aliens—which need be dealt with.

META

Using previously released games Roll Play merged Goonboat as scaffold, highly modifies to depict a rural setting  being driven over by some metallic wheeled contraption.

Looks like a nice day.

CONTROLS

Joystick Up - move direction

Joystick Down - stop

Joystick Left - turn CCW

Joystick Right - turn CW

Joystick Button - enact scan when in an Alien Signal Capture event

Joystick Button - enact pulse when magnified Alien Signal Capture (press button when both numbers below craft equate)  

Joystick Button - haggle when in a Merchant Event

BW/Color Switch - toggle map

UI 

Arrow shows current direction, with XY numbers either side.  See 'PROJECT 2025 - WIP 01_03' devlog.

STRUCTURES

To visit a structure as indicated on the map, first navigate to its grid location. Use UI coordinates within grid location to reach (2,2).

GOLD

Gold bars exist scattered across vacant land.

RADAR

A radar for tracking alien activity, such as Surveyors, provides an action screen when player elects to capture signal to the centre of the display. Capture by heading towards the signal before it disappears. See 'PROJECT 2025 - WIP 06, 07' devlogs.

HAGGLING

Merchant Events allow for market exchanges benefiting one or more parties. See 'PROJECT 2025 - WIP 09' devlog.
